If you know the content you want to have, create buckets to organize it, buy a template, do some designs and slap something up there. It can look good and it can be something that you’re not embarrassed to show people. And if that’s what you’re looking for, there’s no shame in it. There are places you can go to get a website for as little as $1 a month.

So when companies say they need a website – it’s no more about having a presence online than being on social media is about setting up a Facebook page while posting about your most recent hire and then wishing the Royals luck.

It will help you identify what people are really asking and how they’re asking it. It will help you dive deeper and find solutions that you may not have known you were even looking for.

It will position you as the authority. It will force you to search for better answers yourself. To study and bring the community along with you. And that authority and content surrounding it is THE #1 thing you can do to appeal to Google and other Search Engines. Because, when people are looking for answers and they don’t know to come to you, they go to Google. Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that, but that is the foundational basis for effective SEO.
